Derrike will drive the #49 Chevrolet for Jay Robinson Racing in Nashville.

In the first practice, Derrike was 27th fastest with a time of 31.089 and speed of 154.357.

In Qualifying, Derrike had his fastest lap of 154.695 with a time of 31.021. At the end of the round, the #49 Chevrolet was left in 34th position.

Derrike started the race in 42nd position because he swapped seats with Shane Hall and finished in 36th position.

Derrike gave an update by saying, "I qualified the #49 and then swapped seats with Shane Hall who qualified the #4 and attempted to race the #4. We immediately had problems with the battery and had to go to the pits to replace it. We made a few adjustments to the car because it would not turn. They only ran about 4 to 6 laps before Shane qualified the car so it did not have the right setup to race, so we opted to park it for the night."
