Derrike will drive the #4 Chevrolet for Jay Robinson Racing in Loudon
sponsored by JVC and The Turning Wheel RV Center.
Derrike did not practice in the first practice. In the second practice,
he was 31st fastest with a time of 31.328 and speed of 121.578.
After Friday's practices, he said, "I did not practice in the first
session. When I went out in the second session I had used tires on that
Kenny Wallace ran in the first session and I ended up 31st fastest overall.
Provided we could have put new tires on we may have been pretty decent. We
will have to wait and see what tires we can come up with from the Cup cars
to qualify on. We look to run the race with the 4 car provided we can get
enough used tires from the Cup side."
In Qualifying, Derrike turned his fastest lap at 31.195 with a speed of
122.096. At the end of the round this put the #4 Chevrolet in 35th position.

Derrike started the race in 35th position and finished in 30th position.

After the race, Derrike said, "Today was a frustrating day to say the
least. First in qualifying, the car would not turn at all! We thus had to
start 35th which did not make me happy, but with hardly any practice I guess
that is what you get. With the start of the race the car still did not turn
very well and brakes were a bit of a problem, which comes as a result of a
car that will not turn. We just did the best we could until Steven Wallace
wrecked us. The mental giant must have needed a caution and used me up. Then
we had engine trouble with a couple laps to go. It is off to Daytona where
hopefully we will be able to race a little better."
