Derrike will drive the #4 Chevrolet for Jay Robinson Racing in Chicago with sponsor JVC Everio.

In the first practice, Derrike was 42nd fastest with a time of 32.264 and speed of 167.369.

In Qualifying, Derrike produced his fastest lap of 32.138 with a speed of 168.025. At the end of the round the #4 Chevrolet was left in 35th position where Derrike will start the race.

Derrike started the race in 35th position and finished in 38th.

Derrike gave an update for the weekend. "It was a very difficult weekend for the number 4 team. I only got to make 4 laps on used tires in practice before qualifying. I qualified on used tires off the 49 car. On my qualifying lap the throttle stuck which caused a bit of a problem. We started 35th. Once the race started we had the same problem. The throttle stuck again so we went behind the wall to try and fix it. We tried several times to fix it but they were unable to find the problem so we had to quit. It was too dangerous to continue."
