Derrike will drive the #49 Chevrolet for Jay Robinson Racing in Watkins Glen. In the practice, Derrike was 42nd fastest with a time of 77.957 and speed of 113.139. In Qualifying, Derrike had his fastest lap of 77.830 with a speed of 113.324. Unfortunately at the end of the round this put the #49 Chevrolet in 46th position which was not fast enough to make the race.
"I missed the race this weekend in Watkins Glen. We were unable to get the car to handle or stop in practice so we made a lot of changes before qualifying in hopes of finding the speed necessary but we failed to do so."
