Derrike will drive the #4 Chevrolet for in California. Derrike's owned #73 Dodge will be driven by Kevin Lepage. The #78 Dodge will be there and driven by Johnny Sauter.

In the first practice, Derrike was 29th fastest with a time of 43.024 and speed of 167.348. Kevin Lepage was 32nd fastest with a time of 43.356 and speed of 16.067. Johnny Sauter was 35th fastest with a time of 43.549 with speed of 165.331.

Derrike did not participate in the second practice. Kevin Lepage was 31st fastest with a time of 42.762 and speed of 168.374. Johnny Sauter was 35th fastest with a time of 43.467 and speed of 165.643.

In Qualifying, Derrike ran his fastest lap of 42.592 and speed of 169.046. At the end of the round this put the #4 Chevrolet in 35th position where Derrike will start the race. Kevin Lepage in the #73 had his fastest lap of 42.353 with speed of 170.000. This put the #73 Dodge in 31st position to start the race. Johnny Sauter in the #78 had a fast lap of 42.358 with speed of 169.980 to put the #78 Dodge in 32nd position for the race.

Derrike started the race in 35th position and finished in 30th position. Kevin Lepage finished in 41st position and Johnny Sauter finished in 42nd position.
